Preschool 学前

English speaking preschoolers need a fun and engaging programme that encourages them to read and speak Chinese.

BUILD INTEREST AND READING HABITS THROUGH ANIMATED STORIES

As parents, we know that getting kids to read is critical for long-term success in Chinese. When kids like to read, it’s natural for him or her to enjoy the langauge. From experience, kids that do not read Chinese books also tend to struggle in comprehension and composition in primary school due to a limited vocabulary.

However, it can be a challenge getting kids to read Chinese stories as many kids prefer to read English books instead.

That is why our preschool curriculum is structured around the animated stories of our school mascot “Pirate Panda”. Incorporating animation, sound effects and engaging plots, our stories have delighted thousands of kids over the last 7 years, and are appealing to even kids that normally dislike reading Chinese stories.

As a bonus, all our books come with read-aloud – so your kids can learn on their own without requiring assistance from busy parents.

Building confidence in speaking Chinese

Speaking is both a key foundation for learning a language well, and one of the most important assessment areas in P1. However, we know it can be difficult for you to get your children to speak Chinese, especially if they are raised in an English-speaking environment.

Our classes are designed to encourage your child to speak in Chinese. We combine encouraging teachers with curriculum that incorporates role-playing, games and occasional drills. Older children have additional Show & Tell to prepare them for P1.

Many parents come to us fearing that their children will refuse to participate in Chinese, but stay for many years (95+% retention every term) when they see their children’s transformation.
