Xinyu started her Chinese class with KidStartNow in 2018 at N2 level, and we are very pleased with her learning progress. She enjoys the lessons very much as they are very interactive and fun. She is now able to recognise many Chinese characters and she speaks confidently in the language. In addition to the weekly class, the school also provides an on-line learning portal where she can watch animated stories and do quizzes, which encourages frequent learning and practice for her. From being resistant to the Chinese language initially, my daughter now looks forward to her Chinese class every week, thanks to the teaching staff who successfully engaged the class. This is also partly due to the ideal class size with a good student to teacher ratio.

Introducing the language through interactive videos has sparked her interest in the Chinese language and added another complementary dimension taking learning to another level beyond the confines of the classroom. The storyline and characters in the videos are age appropriate and appealing to young children.

LOWER PRIMARY

My two children, Rafael (P4) and Raeann (P1) started having lessons with KidStartNow last year. Both went for the trial class and Rafael was attracted to the animated point system immediately.  Subsequently, Rafael looked forward to the interesting activities and lessons and Chinese became his favourite subject. Raeann was initially very weak in Chinese and could barely recognize the basic Chinese characters. She dreaded learning Chinese and had no interest in communicating with us in Mandarin. Through the activities and the interesting teaching methods, Raeann improved tremendously in her Chinese. Keep up the good work, KidStartNow!

Chinese used to be a very hard subject for my son and he lacked the confidence to learn the Chinese language, and in one year, his oral and composition skills improved.
